The Terrifying Lows and Queenie – Pretty Pictures

This haunting, broody duet captures the end of a relationship from both sides. It’s a down-tempo, emotional track that captures the complex feelings when you know a relationship is over, but there’s still a lot of love there. The beautiful call-and-response interplay between Queenie’s soulful, melodic voice and Tyler Millott (The Terrifying Lows) sultry, laid-back delivery works wonderfully.
Aleksiah – Punch Drunk Love

This energetic pop track from Aleksiah is one of those songs that just makes you want to dance. Punch Drunk Love is for everyone who keeps showing up and trying to enjoy life even when they’re feeling awful. Lyrically it puts many of the issues of mental health at the forefront – the wanting to stay at home, the feeling of being a burden or being completely overwhelmed. Then it’s wrapped up in this sunny bubblegum pop package which quite frankly, feels like that forced smile stuck on your face as you try to navigate the world with all those thoughts running through your head.
Reverend and The Makers – UFO

Reverend and the Makers have released new single, UFO, alongside announcing a series of small gigs. The track continues their softer, soulful “Radio 2 era” sound, similar to earlier songs like Haircut and Late Night Phonecall. UFO delivers a catchy, danceable vibe. Lyrically, it blends themes of space and distance with human connection, reflecting on isolation and togetherness in today’s world. The song’s memorable lines and infectious rhythm make it one of their most engaging releases to date.
Ella Boh + Ellise – DiE

DiE is the haunting new track from rising independent pop-artist Ella Boh (featuring Ellise). This dark pop number looks at the more obsessive, all-consuming side of love. The track marks an evolution from Ella’s past work on milk & honey. It’s heavier than her earlier material and features a first-time collaboration with Ellise, though it still retains her airy, ethereal lyrical delivery.
Zachary Leo – Funky Pong

Zachary Leo returns with this groovy new release. Funky Pong dives into the messy complexities of toxic friendships that take away more than they give. Pulling inspiration from artists like Parliament/Funkadelic, Prince & The Isley Brothers, Zachary creates a funky track tinged with an edge of 70’s nostalgia. The upbeat rhythm and infectious bassline create a vibrance that will have you bopping along!
