Bruno Mars
Global superstar Bruno Mars has expanded his record-breaking The Romantic Tour once again, announcing new stadium shows across Australia and New Zealand in 2027. Kicking off February 13 at Optus Stadium in Perth. The run continues with multiple nights in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney, before heading over to Auckland.
Award-winning global superstar Tyla will join Bruno as special guest on all Australia and New Zealand dates, while Silk Sonic collaborator Anderson .Paak will perform as DJ Pee.Wee on all newly announced shows.
The announcement follows extraordinary demand for The Romantic Tour, Mars’ first headline tour in nearly a decade, which kicked off this past April with two sold-out shows in Las Vegas before embarking on a blockbuster stadium run across North America, Europe and the UK.

SOMBR
Pop-phenom superstar SOMBR has announced his return to Australia and New Zealand for his You Are The Reason Tour, performing headline dates across April 2027.
Fast emerging as one of music’s most compelling new voices, SOMBR has earned critical acclaim worldwide for his emotionally charged songwriting and genre-blurring sound. Dubbed as ‘Gen Z’s rockstar heir’, SOMBR is still, in many ways, the New York-born artist who found his voice via a makeshift bedroom studio on the Lower East Side and is, to this day, the sole writer (and co-producer) of his chart-topping songs.

Sweetie
To celebrate the release of their debut album Dogtooth, Sydney trio Sweetie have announced a new tour spanning the east coast of Australia.
Formed during 2020’s lockdowns, Lily Keenan (vocals, guitar), Rikki Clark (drums) and guitarist Lucy Warriner started Sweetie with little more than a desire to learn how to play. A band felt like the quickest way to figure it out. Six years on, Sweetie isn’t interested in smoothing their rough edges – they’d rather sharpen them. With Dogtooth, Sweetie sidestep rock’s tired macho mythology, instead embracing a sound that is feminine, complex, but still armed with a razor-sharp bite.

Asha Jefferies
Australian songwriter Asha Jefferies’ new album, Desire Is An Angel, is coming out in just over a month, and she has just announced a tour of Australia’s East Coast in celebration of its impending release.
Originally hailing from the Northern Rivers but raised in Brisbane, Asha Jefferies is best known her melancholic pop songs and distinctive vocals. She was recently named Spotify’s Equal AuNZ Spotlight Artist for August, joining Spotify’s global Equal initiative, which celebrates and amplifies the voices of women making waves in music around the world, with editorial support across the platform and a New York Times Square billboard.

The Smith And Western Jury
After a busy year on the road The Smith & Western Jury return to their favourite Melbourne dive, Lulie Tavern, to celebrate the release of Hell Must Be Empty, the third single from their forthcoming album. They will also be playing a number of shows supporting the Melbourne Ska Orchestra throughout September and October
A cinematic Western anthem with a dark and deeply personal story, Hell Must Be Empty was written in response to a horrific story of femicide in Australia — a reality that is tragically all too common.
At its heart is the line “Hell must be empty, the devils are all here.” Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, lead singer Sam reimagines the quote through the lens of her own lived experience, capturing the everyday acts of self-protection many women know too well. Gripping your keys, pretending to be on the phone, and choosing the well-lit route home.
Wanting to turn a confronting subject into positive action, the band have partnered with Australian charity ‘Safe Steps’, donating $10 from every ticket sold to their Melbourne show at Lulie Tavern on October 3rd to the charity. Safe Steps provides 24/7 crisis support to people experiencing family and domestic violence across Victoria.
Joining the band on the night will be the fiercely talented female mariachi band Queen of Hearts, making this a special night of music, community and solidarity.

Chains Of Rock
Oh! Goody! Bookings presents Chains Of Rock, a night of rock created by loud, savvy and unapologetically raw female-led bands. This is a night that will show the audience what it means to take the reins on what it means to be a woman in rock – and how to make it your own. The lineup’s brilliant fusions across rock-subgenres is the perfect cross-section of creating space for emerging artists to take the stage, let loose, experience local music and discovery of new blends.
Together these bands link and create chains of how women and rock can show up with different sounds and still create a night that you will want to be a part of. You’ll soon see that the only boundaries to rocking out and supporting local women is by not being there! The lineup features: Altav setting the scene with edgy bites of alternative rock, followed by Delphi who is ready to carry on the energy and dial it up funk-drive rock, wrapping up the night is Charlie Lane with sharp storytelling, gritty vocals and a fusion of the blues into rock to make for a night perfectly curating to expand your previous conceptions of women and their bands in Australian rock.
What makes live music incredible is the range and variety that exists within and between genres that make for a lineup that is truly brilliant, exciting and jammed packed of energy as each act takes over the stage of Smith St Hotel. This night brings the audiences and musicians together for an evening of getting lost in the music in a supportive and safe space where not only the fusions of sounds – but people and experiences can come together and blend for a meaningful and fun time.

Midnight Revelry: a situation in which 4 wicked bands play on October 30th, getting people dancing, singing, and having a little devilish fun in a noisy way. You’re officially invited to escape into the night by leaning into supernatural and otherworldly curiosities to enter the twilight zone of live music that will have you enticed and bewitched.
This is an evening of gothic vibes, thrilling performances and a frighteningly stacked lineup that asks all of those who feel a little witchy, vampiric, faery-like, ghoulish, werewolf-ish, some other nightmarish creature, gothic or those who just want a unforgettable night out (we don’t discriminate) to bring your all and your (im)mortal desires to level up your Halloween weekend by rocking out, dancing, dressing up (if you dare) and truly becoming one with the essence of the various facets of Halloween.
This mixed-genre bill is full of acts that know how to leave a hauntingly positive impression on and off the stage. These bands bring the real treat of the night, providing a deliciously captivating environment spanning alternative rock, glam-pop-rock, punk, and alt-punk (AKA rage girl grunge).
The Mundaynes headlines Midnight Revelry, joined by Pollyman, Celltowers and Parisia.

Welcome Home Birdgirl
Birdgirl returns with a homecoming show after her solo 3,500km walk from Perth to Melbourne, in aid of ‘Access for the Arts’ awareness and fundraising mission.
Birdgirl has been on an epic 3,125km journey across Australia by foot. Starting in May, she has been walking from Perth to Melbourne solo and camping out along the way, raising awareness and access to the arts in Australia. Access to the arts should be a right not a privilege, and with this strong belief she will be raising funds for Grow the Music and Slamtidote Inc.
Grow the Music is a social enterprise that brings musical equipment, education and mentorship to Indigenous communities, as well as people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Through their work they have donated over 1,000 instruments to regional and remote communities, built 8 dedicated band rooms, hosted workshops for over 20,000 people, recorded over 3,000 songs with over 500 artists, many of which include endangered language and important stories for cultural preservation.
Slamtidote is a Not-For-Profit Incorporated Association focused on bringing poetry & music to ethnic, femme and queer communities around Naarm (Melbourne) as well as creative + life skills workshops.
As part of their initiative to provide pathways to music for disadvantaged communities, Grow The Music are encouraging donations of playable musical instruments. Those that wish to donate can purchase a $10 donation ticket in order to register their details & intention to bring an instrument. On the night bring these with you to be stored in a dedicated space – from there the instruments will be distributed through community initiatives including remote and regional areas.
The event will feature performances from Shane Howard (of Goanna, “Solid Rock”), Birdgirl, I. Rugumba, Bart Willoughby, Cath Rutten & the Obvious Choice. There will also be a short documentary screening of Birdgirl’s wild road adventure + Q&A panel: the why, the highs, and the hard days of the walk + Live poetry from Slamtidote poets + Speakers from Grow the Music.
