Public Image LTD
Public Image Ltd has announced a series of Australian shows as part of their global This Is Not… The Final PiL Tour. Following a run of sold out European and North American shows, the band will be bringing their uncompromising sound, raw energy, and genre-defying performance to Australian and NZ audiences in January 2027. Fans can expect a setlist spanning a formidable catalogue – including groundbreaking early works like Public Image and Metal Box.
Public Image Ltd redefined post-punk with their fusion of dub, rock, electronics, and avant-garde experimentation. Following John Lydon’s departure from the Sex Pistols in January 1978, he sought a more experimental “anti-rock” project and formed PiL in June of that year. The current line-up features Lydon (vocals) alongside long-standing members Bruce Smith (drums), Lu Edmonds (guitar) and Scott Firth (bass).
