Home of Songs To Brush Your Teeth To.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so personally excited I don’t think I’ve ever been so personally excited by the list of artists announcing tours as I am this week. From @ashanti announcing @riah_alone as her Australian support, to one of my favourite ‘bands from back home’ @thelotterywinners announcing they’re finally doing a run of Australian headliner shows next year to a reminder of the incredible line up @loudwomen fest in a couple of weeks there’s been a lot of GREAT live music news this week. Swipe to see the full line up of events.
Double serve of Songs To Brush Your Teeth To this Double serve of Songs To Brush Your Teeth To this week to make up for missing last week! A lot of rocky, angsty tracks on here this week - I’m an Aries and apparently it’s my savage era so that’s probably why! Anyway, some great tunes for you to check out. Swipe ➡️➡️Songs To Brush Your Teeth To is our regular new music update where we bring you five songs to listen to each week – our suggestion is to do that while brushing your teeth so you make new music a good daily habit, but honestly, you can listen whenever you like. We won’t judge. You can check out the playlist on Tidal, Spotify or YouTube.Tig announced her debut album last week and to coincide with this announcement is new single Ferris Wheel. It’s a gorgeous, dreamy track about nostalgia, memories and holding on to connections. It retains Tig’s highly personal and vulnerable song writing style whilst exploring a wider range of genres, from the reverb drenched pop opening to a much heavier rock sound as the song takes flight.I love Blusher’s high energy pop and mrs brightside is no exception! The synth driven banger is messy in the most beautiful way as it navigates falling for someone you cannot have. It’s the best kind of emotional oversharing coupled with just dancing it out!I’ve been hearing good things about Full Flower Moon Band for months now, and if you haven’t already listened to them, Party Hard is a great place to start. The rock track is not the party anthem you’d expect from the title, it’s the story of surviving a difficult industry, one that keeps long unpredictable hours and uncertainty close to its core. It’s an homage to both the artists and the friends and family who keep showing up.This eerie, ethereal track by Newcastle’s ZEAL.H slowly unfurls as you listen. I really enjoyed the gentle percussion running through the song, it’s varied and interesting, without it becoming the driving force of the track. ZEAL.H shares:“‘Mahi’ means work in Te Reo Māori. My friend Lucy used to say ‘do the Mahi, get the treats!’ And I’ve really loved this word ever since. I wrote this song after a tough conversation with a lover in which I felt I had done all that I could, and that all that

A big week of @goldenplainsfestival side show anno A big week of @goldenplainsfestival side show announcements this week! Swipe to read our tour news of who you can catch coming to Aus soon! It’s been another big week of international announcements. So excited for this one! Haute & Freddy have announced their debut tour of Australia, bringing their flamboyant collision of theatrical pop, underground club culture, and runaway-circus spectacle to audiences for the first time next March.Comprised of Michelle Buzz and Lance Shipp, Haute & Freddy fuse theatrical flair, underground club culture and synth-driven maximalism into a bold alt-pop universe built around fearless self-expression. Their critically acclaimed debut album, Big Disgrace, introduced that world in full — a decadent collision of vintage spectacle, dancefloor catharsis and unapologetic individuality that has inspired a rabid and devoted fan community.Polka-Dot math rockers Angine de Poitrine have announced they will be bringing their electrifying performance to Australia for the first time next March as part of their Concerts de Musique 2027 world tour. The Québécois duo of Klek and Khn de Poitrine are known for their tight, pulsing drum grooves, interlaced with intricate tangles and looped melodic layers conceived from the double-neck microtonal guitar. Having earned widespread critical acclaim and enthused audiences across the globe with their rapturous and hypnotic performances, the Canadian band’s debut Australian shows promise to be wild rides of twists and turns and creative abandon. After a breakout year on the road touring Getting Killed, Geese will return to Australia and New Zealand in February and March for their largest headline shows in the region. The run builds on the band’s Australian headline debut in February, when feverishly sold-out underplays and a Laneway Festival run introduced the band to a much wider audience.Formed in 2016 while its members were still at school, Geese are Cameron Winter (vocals), Emily Green (guitar), Dominic DiGesu (bass), and Max Bassin (drums). On the heels of frontman Cameron’s widely-lauded and mildly befuddling solo debut Heavy Metal in Dec 2024, his idiosyncratic, soul-searching personal j

We won’t judge. You can check out the playlist on Tidal, Spotify or YouTube.I’m scared to guess how many times the words “Olivia does remixes now” have blasted out across my house this weekend, as expectations has soundtracked my teeth brushing, laundry folding and pretty much everything else. Safe to say it’s a lot. Like most of the queer community I was desperate for new Chappell Roan music and so keen to hear this remix, and her first ever feature! I’m very glad it lived up to my expectationsWe all know I love a good serious topic wrapped up in a little pop parcel and this is exactly what Kayls Chest is. Exploring their feelings about being upset when someone misgenders them, whilst navigating the conflict of wanting to be honest yet also wanting to avoid conflict; it’s a fear that everyone in the queer community struggles with at some point in their journey.Kayls shares “My fatal flaw is that I really struggle a lot to be honest with my friends and family when I’m upset, because I hate the thought of making others feel that way. Writing this song kind of became my way of trying to grow a backbone and stand up for myself!”.I really enjoyed the energy on Sunday, there’s something about the rhythm of ELYK’s rap that drew me in. Lyrically, the song focuses on the amount that people rely on their devices and their constant device use, but within that is a nostalgia and reminiscence of the band’s younger days when they’d rather just hang out.I love the big, heavy guitar runs that dominate this latest track from Chelsea Daghita, and you hear her vocals take on a richness and strength to match this in a way we haven’t really seen on previous releases.“The song is about somebody who I wanted to care for, but they really didn’t have it together at all,” reflects Chelsea. “I thought I could be the person to help them out, but it got to a point where I just couldn’t stand seeing someone with such pote
