Review: Honeylicious, Melbourne

Honeylicious

If you’re Melbourne based and looking for a hyper-local honey provider, look no further than Honeylicious.

Raw honey can be great to treat colds, flu and allergens and the more local you can get, the better! Started from one hive in a Glen Waverley backyard, Honeylicious now produces three different varieties of locally sourced honey and it’s a true Melbourne business.

Honeylicious Classic honey

This delicious sweet, but not too sweet honey is perfect for adding to a cheese board, popping in your tea or including in yummy baked goods. It’s 500g of raw honey so it’s unprocessed and natural! A great immune system booster.

Creamed Honey

Made from a mix of raw honey and crystalised honey it’s a more spreadable variety and is a great choice for adding a little extra sweetness to scones, breads etc. We really loved its smooth and creamy texture.

Chilli Honey

My ultimate guilty pleasure is cheese pizza dipped in chilli honey (trust me on this). It’s works as a great addition to pasta dishes or Asian cooking when you want sweet/spicy combo, and it’s also the perfect option if you want to add honey to some of your more savoury dishes. It’s got a kick to it but not too much of one, so it’s a good way to bring a subtle spiciness to your meals.
