Last nights Aria awards at Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion saw a slew of performances from local and international acts including Olivia Dean, Missy Higgins and Thelma Plum.

Amyl and The Sniffers
Perhaps unsurprisingly Amyl and The Sniffers took home the most awards of the night, with a whopping 4 wins:

Best Group
Best Rock Album: Cartoon Darkness
Best Cover Art: Cartoon Darkness

Ninajirachi
Next most successful was Breakthrough Artist winner Ninajirachi. Nina has had a strong awards season across the board and her debut album I Love My Computer, released just a few months ago, has received wide critical acclaim. She was the most nominated artist at the Arias with 8 nominations. Alongside the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award, she also took home
Best Solo Artist
Best Independent Release: I Love My Computer

Dom Dolla
Dom Dolla was the evenings second most nominated artist, with 7 overall Aria nominations. As well as taking home Best Dance/Electronic Record for DREAMIN’ he was also the inaugural winner of the Global Impact Award reflecting his international reach.

Tame Impala
Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) also took home two awards for End of Summer. Both were in technical categories:
