Review: Plus Coffee And Co, Flinders Lane

Tucked away on Flinders Lane you’ll find Plus Coffee & Co, serving up toasties, classic coffees and creative drinks.

Bright and light, this tiny venue is predominantly geared for takeaway but there are several tables if you want to stop in and have a bite. The toastie menu is small, but they manage to cover an impressively wide range of tastes.

Tasty Toasties

We tried the tuna, Reuben, mushroom, and miso eggplant toasties! The miso eggplant was a stand out, it felt unique to this venue and had a nice depth of flavour. The Reuben was quite mild, and perfect for those looking for a tasty and filling option. The generous serve of mushrooms gave a rich taste and the tuna melt was a yummy classic.

Creative Coffee

While the toasties are delicious, the real stand out at Plus is the drinks. Of course you can order your regular coffee fix, but their selection of specialty drinks is hard to pass up. They’re fun and bright and taste great. We opted for the firecracker cold drip and the yuzu espresso and tonic. The firecracker, topped with popping candy is such an interesting take on a cold drip and a must try if you’re a coffee fan.

The yuzu espresso looks great and it’s another cool twist on a coffee drink. They manage to make both flavours stand out well and if you like a fruity coffee blend, you’ll love this. The strawberry and matcha is also on my list to go back and try, this looks like the perfect summer drink.

It’s great to see these creative quick eats places popping up around the CBD again, and Plus Coffee & Co is well worth stopping by!
