Turning Point launches new spring menu!

Funky Ripponlea cafe Turning Point has launched it's new Spring Menu this week, with some new exciting dishes added to the mix of old favourites.

Turning Point, Ripponlea

The classics still remain, with the smashed avo, fritters and three point turn all continuing to hold pride of place on the menu. That oh-so-photogenic french toast is also still there too! Joining them on the breakfast menu is another stunner of a dish: Point of No Return.

Plated beautifully this creative dish is a light breakfast choice. Consisting of apple yoghurt oats with house made buckwheat, puffed quinoa and nut granola, mango puree, raspberry compote and mango sorbet, it’s a fresh and fruity dish. It will be a great choice for those warm summer days, with the sorbet adding that extra bit of freshness. Make sure you have your camera ready too for that extra smokey surprise when the dish arrives at your table.

Added to the lunch menu are the Fior Di Burrata and the Japanese Poke Bowl. The Poke Bowl is another perfect-for-summer option with red chilli cured salmon and pickled Japanese pumpkin accompanied by multigrain rice with edamame, spring onion, avocado and seaweed salad. The Fior Di Burrata is a pretty fancy lunch dish, with that gorgeous cheese presented alongside roasted tomato, blistered cherry tomato and fried brioche. We added the bacon to bulk out the dish a bit, but even alone it’s a flavourful, refreshing lunch and definitely offers something different. There’s definitely a feel of freshness, with a fruit and veg focus to all of the new additions and they’re well worth checking out next time you’re in Ripponlea.
