Holi is a traditional Indian festival celebrating the arrival of spring whereby family, friends and complete strangers gather, celebrate and cover each other with coloured powder. Reminiscing on the huge street parties back in India, Mukka owners Prateek and Aditya Dhawan want to recreate this great environment where everyone puts their differences aside, lose their inhibitions and join together for a fun time. After selling out a 300 strong event last year, Mukka have relocated to The Hanger at Batman Royale for this year’s festivities. As with any party, expect plenty of food, drink, music and fun.

On arrival, you’ll be greeted with a house made chai and Indian sweets. Classic Indian music will set the scene, and of course they’ll be plenty of Gulal (coloured powder) to go crazy with! The afternoon will continue with a DJ pumping out the tunes, and when you’re tired from all the colour fights head to Mukka’s mini street food stall where they’ll be serving Hot Dosa, Samosas, Bhel Puri (the menu is 70% vegan too).
