The City of Stonnington Mayor, Cr Steve Stefanopoulos, said it was a great chance to share our culture, food and experiences with family, neighbours and friends. “This free, fun event brings together everything amazing about Melbourne’s diverse community in
a cross-cultural celebration and exchange of traditions and customs,” said Cr Stefanopoulos, “Flavours is a wonderful opportunity for the community to learn more about the different cultures in Stonnington, and engage in all aspects of cultural exchange.”

Highlights include cooking demonstrations from Greg Hampton’s fantastic social enterprise restaurant Charcoal Lane, which helps young Aboriginal people take their first steps in the hospitality industry. On the world stage you can check out live music from the likes of Black Jesus Experience – who combine traditional Ethiopian songs with contemporary dance grooves. Also check out the kid’s cooking demonstrations, browse the market stalls for handmade craft and sweet treats and check out all the great food stalls.  And remember, it’s a free event too!
